Top UK Cane Corso Breeders

Cane Corso Breeders

Due to the UK Kennel Club not yet recognising the breed, finding reputable UK based Cane Corso breeders can be tricky.

The Cane Corso is a stunning and magnificent mastiff-type breed that has seen quite an increase in popularity over the years. This isn’t surprising at all considering their splendour, loyalty, and protective instincts.

While they’re still popular in their native country and the USA, they also seem to be becoming a more desired breed in the UK too, despite them not being recognised by The Kennel Club.

As they are not recognised as pedigree breeds in the UK, this means that their shape, size and appearance can vary depending on the breeder. However, in most cases, these dogs all have a similar majestic and muscular build, which is what they’re most well known for.

Personally, I love this breed, not only for its dignified presence but also for its protective and warrior-type personality. If you want a dog that is going to stand proudly by your side and devote itself to you to no end, the Cane Corso will undoubtedly make an impression.

It’s true, the Cane Corso does have a protective nature, but in many regards, this breed is often misunderstood. They can often be a gentle giant and make for the perfect guardian.

So if you’re looking to welcome a Cane Corso puppy into your home, where do you start?

Cane Corso Breeders in the UK

Although they might not be Kennel Club recognised as a breed, this doesn’t mean breeders refrain from raising these stunning dogs; after all, they’re still an extremely sought-after breed.

As I mentioned previously, because these dogs don’t have particular specs in terms of appearance, some litters may look slightly different. However, the breeders that we have been researching are renowned for producing excellently bred pups regarding colour, size, and temperament.

Cane Corso Breeders

#1 Blue Cane Corso UK

Blue Cane Corso UK is the first reputable breeder of the Corso to be acknowledged and registered with the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale). This is the largest international federation of national kennel clubs in the world. This alone already gives you the confidence that the pup you’ll be bringing home has been responsibly bred.

This is a reliable family-owned company, and all their dogs are registered with the American Bully Kennel Club.

The dogs in their care undergo rigorous health tests, including vision, hearing, heart and dysplasia, and you will receive a certified proof and results that all came back clear before taking your pup home.

All their puppies and adults are well-socialised with other animals and humans and given plenty of space to exercise from a very young age. Then even become some minor training with the pups until they’re ready to leave.

#2 Barbarian Corso UK

Barbarian Corso Kennel has been in the breeding business for almost ten years. Over this time, they’ve won multiple awards for their dogs, such as Multi International Champion and Vice European Winner. They are also the proud owners of one of the most titled dogs in Europe, Grad Champion Figo for Barbarian Pia Fidelis.

They are the only Cane Corso breeders in the UK who show their dogs in World and European Dog Shows.

One of the sole reasons that people choose these breeders for their pups is the knowledge that each and every one of their breeding adults is either a World or European Champion or is very close to becoming one.

This also means that the dogs are vigorously health checked, their DNA is recorded, and they are bred to the highest of standard, not just regarding appearance, but in temperament too.

Each and every pup that is born here is well-cared for, properly fed on high-quality food, well-socialised, and trained to the highest degree possible for their age, including being provided with plenty of stimulation and calming environments.

I think one of the things that stands out for me with this breeder is the mandatory “stay in touch” policy. This means that breeders can keep track of each puppy’s progress as they grow up, and any health troubles or concerns can be discussed directly and dealt with promptly.

#3 ForzaCorso, Wales

ForzoCorso in Wales, despite being the smallest active kennel on our list, are indeed responsible and exceptional breeders, which can be vouched for by many.

The family that runs this business strives to ensure that their breeding process complies with UK Kennel Club standards, despite not being able to register the breed with them directly.

ForzaCorso guarantees every litter of puppies they produce will be top-notch canines with an excellent family history.

In addition to selling Cane Corso puppies, they also offer dog training services for both puppies and mature dogs and other canine services.

I really feel that this breeder wants to provide dog lovers with healthy, gracious and well-socialised puppies.

They also take great pride in every step of the breeding process, including the development, care, and health of their puppies.

I honestly believe that these Cane Corso breeders do what they do purely out of passion, warmth, and love over anything else.

Sovereign Kennels adhere to all Cane Corso breeding laws, and they are also registered with the ICCF.
